Inspired by Glemaud’s travels, the collection is infused with infectious energy, bolstered by fine materials and elevated constructions. The bold color palettes and materials, such as durable wool and handspun silk, make these rugs a welcome addition to any space, allowing friends and family alike to feel right at home.
We particularly love the Assinie, a lyrical, large-scale patterned piece that brings the outdoors in through its coterie of plants and animals. With no repeating motifs and a construction of hand-knotted and dyed wool, this rug anchors the design of any room it’s placed in.
For a punch of color, the Nia is a natural choice, thanks to its saturated hues of either Palm, Spice or Sun Yellow. Cotton and undyed raffia lend plenty of texture, while the chevron provides visual contrast.
Inspired by a handpainted Portuguese floor, the Cocody’s mesmerizing rhythmic borders can’t help but draw the eye, and its handspun silk and oxidized wool fabrication imparts a beautiful sheen.
Available in either abaca or flatweave construction, the Bietry reinterprets an antique textile with two contrasting patterns that Glemaud found on his travels sewn together. The abaca version’s central ground features geometric medallions in a broken cross-stitch pattern, while a wreath of whimsical flowers makes up the border. For the flatweave version, the team sourced an Italian studio to perfect the central grid with its Soumak braiding technique that lends the geometric medallions an embroidered look.
