“Out of passion, I dream designs into being—creations that themselves speak volumes, proud of the spirit that drives them,” says DC designer Tyler Hill about his work. So, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that the creator’s recent dreams brim with classic lines and unending glam. Hill recently launched Transparent Ateliers (transparentatelier.com), creating a buzz in the design community with 10 transcendent pieces. Each limited-number piece, crafted from oil-rubbed bronze, bronze-mirror glass, smoke-mirror glass and translucent alabaster, transmits light to tell a story. Look for pendants, chandeliers, sconces, a mirror and even a shimmering credenza. “These modernist marvels speak subtly, intimating everything,” says Hill.
