Troy Lighting, the Hudson Valley Lighting Group brand known for its approachable yet sophisticated designs, has partnered with renowned woodworker and sculptor Chandler McLellan on a lighting collection. Named Sculpting Light, the collection of pendants, sconces and lamps draws on McLellan's roots in Scotland, where he began woodworking and studied archaeology.

Scotland's rugged coastline is on full display through the collection's organic forms that are full of movement. Wind-swept terrains, stone structures and the coast all inspired McLellan, compelling him to bring nature's peacefulness into living spaces. Natural materials, sculptural forms and a refined approach are the hallmarks of the collection.
We particularly love the Alyth lamp, which was created from a 3-D scan of one of McLellan's sculptures and is reminiscent of the twists and turns of the Scots Pine. Interlocking wood pieces and the gorgeous espresso wood finish serve as the finishing touches that make this piece so special.
For a statement piece, opt for the Thurso pendant, inspired by the seafaring community of Scotland. The design rests on the balance between tension and release, with McLellan recalling the comfort of a ferry station during a storm. A woven crochet fabric stretches across the piece, easing and pulling to let light through for a restrained yet eye-catching piece. The entire collection is available to shop here.
