San Francisco’s own Tina Frey Designs bowed its second location in Montecito, presenting the entirety of the studio’s creations and products in one place. The opening coincided with the debut of Frey’s fall 2020 collection—shoppable both online and in person at the store—which boasts geometric and clean works of kitchenware, home accessories and modern takes on classic designs. After the pandemic forced the namesake founder to be creative in finding new ways to connect her brand to people, her new location is intended to do just that. “It allows the customer to merchandise a complete lifestyle in a home through the addition of furniture, books, accessories and art—all from designers I personally curated to complement the store’s modern simplicity,” says Frey. The store boasts a breathable, organic aesthetic, with a minimalistic Scandinavian feel, and is a reflection of Montecito’s personality, which serves as the perfect backdrop for a customer to see how the collection is intended to be used and displayed. One step inside and you’ll feel as if you’re stepping inside the brilliant mind of Frey herself.
