After 28 years of happy memories, Superman may soon let go of his super mansion.

Shaquille O’Neal is currently under contract for the sale of his larger-than-life, 35,000-square-foot mansion in Orlando, Florida. According to a report by the New York Post, the mega-estate is being listed for $16.5 million. Though that's surely a pretty penny for any Hall of Famer, it's a bit of a drop from its original listing price of $28 million in 2018. Considering Shaq bought the home for $4 million in 1993, during his rookie year with the Orlando Magic, the profit is still a slam dunk.

The property is being listed by Tiffany Pantozzi, a Side partner agent.

Soon after buying the home, O'Neal went about making some serious renovations, including an expansion of the house from its original size of 23,000 square feet. The sprawling estate currently features 12 bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms and a 6,000 square-foot indoor basketball court.

Because everything just has to be Shaq-sized, the master suite spans 1,000 square-feet. The swimming pool clocks in at an impressive 95 feet, with other amenities that include an outdoor kitchen, a wine storage room and three fire places. The house sits upon 700 feet of lake frontage and includes a dock. The garage keeps in theme with room for 17 vehicles.

It'll surely be a hard goodbye for the NBA superstar. He did a whole lot of living during these past three decades, maintaining the home throughout his legendary NBA career. He played for six teams in his 19-year run, winning four NBA championships (including his 2006 win with the Miami Heat) and securing three NBA Finals MVP distinctions. In 2000, he was named the Most Valuable Player in all of the NBA, and he continues to be counted as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.

Though he retired from the court in 2011, he keeps himself busy with a ton of commercial spots and DJ gigs. He also works as a sports analyst for TNT's Inside the NBA. Another of Shaq's famous homes was featured on MTV's Cribs in the 2000s, though he also sold that L.A. mega-mansion in 2018.
