Matt Damon

Brooklyn has seen a flood of Hollywood celebrities scooping up the most luxurious and quirky properties in the boroough. Now, you too can live among the stars, but it will cost you a pretty penny.

A $5.5 million Brooklyn duplex in The Standish just hit the real estate market, according to the New York Post. While it's a gorgeous home in its own right, the kicker is living next to Matt Damon, as well as married couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt.

The townhouse includes four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Stretching across 4,434 square feet, the unit boasts an array of high-end amenities including a garden, chef's kitchen and a 75-foot-long private terrace with stunning views of the city. Natural light pours into the open concept living room through large, arched windows and hardwood floors feature throughout.

Located in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, the 12-story luxury complex is nicknamed the "Standoffish" by locals for its star-studded list of occupants. John Krasinski and Emily Blunt purchased two units for $11 million, which they are converting into one large full floor unit. The penthouse unit is occupied by none other than Oscar award-winning Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, along with the couple's four children. Damon purchased the unit - which spans across the 11th and 12th floors in addition to the roof - back in 2018. This marked it as Brooklyn's then-most expensive apartment.

The building is as famous as its tenants. The former BeauxArts hotel was once the fictional home of Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent. The building was constructed in 1903 and features a gym, roof terrace and harbor views among other upscale comforts.

The unit is listed by Aaron Seawood and Noel Borbon of Triplemint. Check out the full story on the New York Post's website for more information and images of the home.
