As a fifth-generation Arizonan and the third generation to be involved in her family’s homebuilding business, Camelot Homes (camelothomes.com), Cammie Beckert has a passion for great home design and a love for working with people to help bring their ideas to life. With her recent launch of Cameron Custom Homes & Renovations (cameroncustom.com), she aspires to become the custom builder of choice for high-end clients by offering a more personalized and carefree experience for clients. Here, she tells us how this new concept came to life and what clients can expect.

Tell us how the idea of Cameron Custom Homes & Renovations came about.

Over the years, we have built several custom homes, but realized it required the energy and attention of a fully dedicated team if we were going to deliver a best-in-class experience. It was encouraging when people in the industry and visitors to Camelot model homes were inspired by our designs and began inquiring about having us build them a custom home. Three years ago, I became committed to the concept and began cultivating an all-star team dedicated solely to customs and renovations.

Why did you decide to launch this new company exclusively dedicated to bespoke estates?

Custom homes and renovations require different operational processes and a different trade base. Also, these clients have different needs and expectations of the process, so we wanted to make sure we had a team dedicated to those differences.

What are the benefits of using Cameron Custom Homes & Renovations?

While the name Cameron Custom is new, the company and leadership behind Cameron Custom has been around for 50 years. We offer clients deep local knowledge and long-term relationships with award-winning architects and interior and landscape designers. In addition, Cameron Custom is proud to offer a beautiful new design center that inspires people’s soul the moment they walk through the door. Clients will be able to work directly with our designers, or their interior designers, and select from the latest styles and looks when it comes to countertops, tilework, flooring, plumbing fixtures, carpentry and much more!

What do you love most about what you'll bring to clients?

I’m excited to offer people an experience in homebuilding unlike any other. We love collaborating with experts in the industry to fulfill our client’s vision of a dream home while making the process seamless and fun.

Tell us what you enjoy most about working in the Scottsdale community?

Having grown up in Scottsdale, it’s home for me. I love it for many reasons, but what brings me joy about working in Scottsdale is driving by homes and neighborhoods that we’ve built over the years and seeing how the homes and neighborhoods have stood the test of time.
