Husband-and-wife Chris and Masha Carter have a simple philosophy when it comes to design: “We don’t sell a product; we sell an experience.” And so they do, with a refined and modern living style that brings ultra-luxury to Atlanta’s outdoor spaces.

Founded in 2017, Cosmic Design Studio—the pair’s swimming pool and outdoor living design-build firm - differentiates itself with its client-forward approach. This process results in highly customized functional spaces and designs with meaning and personal value. “What differentiates us is our process and how we like to closely align with our clients and ensure they have a great experience,” says Masha. “We believe that the experience you create for yourself should be second to none.”

The studio’s process begins with what Chris describes as ‘discovery.’ This involves engaging the clients to understand their vision and requirements, exploring ideas, gathering inspiration, and assessing the unique features of the property. Once complete, the design begins. In this crucial phase, Cosmic’s in-house team creates architectural drafts tailored to the client’s preferences. “Our design and construction processes are developed to keep the client excited and confident from concept to completion,” Masha notes.

Obtaining the necessary permits and approvals is then essential before construction can begin. Once secured, Cosmic transforms the client’s designs into reality, from swimming pools to all manner of outdoor furnishing. The studio’s commitment to the client doesn’t end there, however. Indeed, the team continues to provide an ongoing service to ensure the outdoor living space remains pristine and functional.
