Celebrating the birth of a beautiful daughter, these real estate moguls required a chic yet functional nursery to accompany their new family-oriented future, tapping Naomi Coe, founder of Little Crown Interiors (littlecrowninteriors.com), to head the design. The vibe? “Cozy, luxurious and girly,” Coe says.

The 275-square-foot space was practically a blank canvas, with the design team retaining the room’s built-in storage and designer sofa. “Our client owned a gorgeous Edra sofa and wanted to work the design around it,” Coe explains. “We knew we wanted to use whites, pinks and touches of bronze.”

Coe’s designs always start with choosing a safe location for the baby’s crib—in this case, it fit perfectly on the back wall opposing the sofa. The arbiter opted for a design by Nursery Works, noting, “We wanted to include some modern pieces to balance the more traditional architecture of the space. Our client loves acrylic, so we went with an all-acrylic crib to add modernity and keep the whole room feeling open.”

Blush hues and textural elements are major motifs, as evidenced by the custom Kifu Paris changing table and standout Alexander McQueen-designed rug. “This stunning rug is the centerpiece of the space,” the designer gushes. “The whimsy makes the room feel like a nursery, and the touches of black bring in that sophistication [the client] was looking for.”

The tastemaker highlighted the home’s traditional aspects by looking above. Her team worked with Rebel Walls to alter one of its designs for a custom fit. Says Coe, “The ceiling was high and inset, so that gave us the perfect opportunity to create a statement. The color adds a new dimension to the space.”
