What trends do you see emerging in the rug industry?

“So many furniture companies now carry rug lines, so it is very important for us to stay on top of what we feel our clients need and want. Unfortunately, you’re not really paying for the actual rug but more so the name. We make anything, and our prices are based on the materials used, not the brand name.”

What colors are you seeing more and more of?

“So many clients coming in are now looking for greens!! Contemporary or traditional, green is the color to find!”

What would you say is the most popular rug design style right now?

“As long as I have been at Moattar, Oushaks are still what everyone wants. Known for their nontraditional colors and coarse weaves, Oushaks are a fundamental part of what we sell every day.”

What are you looking forward to in 2024 for the rug industry?

“We are always looking for what is next or different in the rug industry. When you find something new and different, you’re almost like a kid at Christmas. It’s just really exciting.”
