Having designed over 1,000 homes and residential based projects, Candelaria Design Associates has established itself as one of the premier luxury architectural firms in the nation. CEOs, celebrities, famed athletes and even HGTV in 2017 have turned to Candelaria Design Associates for their expertise in designing dream homes. This year, the renowned firm celebrates their 23rd year anniversary alongside their founder Mark Candelaria’s 40 year mark as an architect. With their eyes set on exciting new residential projects and beyond, Candelaria Design eagerly anticipates a firm expansion towards further lifestyle offerings for their clientele.

Founded in 1999, Mark Candelaria opened Candelaria Design with a particular focus on residential architecture. Mark’s mission from then to today is centered on offering a high level of service and envisioning a closely collaborative home design experience for his clientele. Candelaria Design has grown from a one person firm to a dedicated staff of 20 with residential projects across the United States even stretching into Jamaica, Canada and Mexico. Mark is joined in leadership by fellow principal architect Meredith Thomson (AIA), partners Tim Matthewson and Evelyn Jung. The architectural firm has received a plethora of accolades including but not limited to Master of the Southwest, named number one architecture firm by Ranking Arizona multiple years, Gold Nugget Home of the Year 2011 by the Pacific Builders Council and Masonry Council Awards.

Candelaria Design is known for their diversity in style and high involvement in the design process, ensuring all design projects are elevated to meet a client’s preferred lifestyle. A few Arizona projects stand out to Mark Candelaria as his favorites: the Boynton Canyon-based Enchantment Resort in Sedona and the 1930s landmark-turned-restaurant and event venue El Chorro Lodge in Paradise Valley. These uniquely positioned projects speak to Candelaria Design’s values of commitment, quality design and building strong personal relationships with clients along the way.

Beyond residential and architectural design, Candelaria Design offers a variety of travel and culinary experiences for clients to enjoy with the firm. There are three tours hosted each year: one in Italy, Spain and a traditional domestic tour which this year will be Oregon Wine Country. Candelaria Design has additionally partnered with Schiffer Publishing and will be releasing three books, each of the first two will feature 12 of their home projects alongside 12 respective recipes in “Mark Candelaria: Homes.” Be it a home project or an inspiring lifestyle experience, Candelaria Design is here to enhance your way of living.
