Can you tell us about the origin behind Edison Park? Edison Park was an existing patio home development that had available lots, which Wan Bridge purchased. We wanted to deliver a luxury build-to-rent (BTR) product to Houston residents in a location that was conveniently located to great schools, dining, shopping and recreational activities. Edison Park checked all of those boxes and more.

What sets this community development, especially in regard to its design, apart from others in Houston? Our six patio homes are luxe and feature 2,400 square feet of living space and values starting at $500,000, a rare find in the innovative build-to-rent industry. Private lots, two-car garages and ample outdoor space are just a few of the numerous features that set Edison Park apart from other rental communities in Houston. Featuring walk-in pantries, oversized kitchen countertops and walk-in closets, families will find that they have enough room to grow, while young professionals and retirees will enjoy the ability to entertain, host guests and more. Each three-story home features a four-bedroom, 3 ½-bathroom floor plan.

What inspired the design? How would you describe the aesthetic? The location and consumer demand for a more luxurious BTR product inspired the design of our Edison Park patio homes, and we would describe the aesthetic as modern and functional. Each features a large kitchen island, generous closet space in each bedroom, easy-to-clean countertops, floors and walls, and enough space for the whole family. Edison Park homes also have 10-foot-high ceilings, open-concept floor plans, neutral color palettes, 6-foot-tall oversized windows that bring in the most natural light and plenty of green space that is well maintained by Wan Bridge.

Were there any specific programmatic requests in terms of development? Tell us about the design and implementation process. Our Edison Park patio homes fill an important market niche for consumers preferring to rent while holding on to the luxury and space of homeownership without a major financial commitment and other time-saving benefits of apartments, such as landscaping and maintenance services. This hassle-free lifestyle is combined with a prime location in Houston, ensuring residents have a direct commute into the city and immediate access to the city's best leisure activities in the surrounding area, such as an outstanding dining scene, shopping, nightlife and family activities.

Anything else to share? Unlike traditional rentals, our BTR homes include turnkey maintenance and yard service, giving residents more time back to enjoy things that bring them happiness.
