The new downtown location marries a residential feel with a doctor’s office practicality.

Celebrity cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Paul Jarrod Frank opened his first location in 2001 on the Upper East Side and has now launched another location in the West Village. The new space was designed in collaboration with acclaimed Gachot Studios. “We took design cues from our favorite residential and hotel experiences, matching them with Dr. Frank’s urbane sensibility to craft an entirely new conception of a doctor’s office,” says Christine Gachot, co-founder of Gachot Studios. Dark woods and warm tones offer patients a welcoming feeling, while PFRANKMD’s signature oxblood red is incorporated throughout the office in harmony with earthy textures and stone and metal detailing. The waiting room centers around an illuminated matte lacquered brass and bronze reception box and a matching retail area. Gachot custom-designed furniture for the project to tie in the aesthetic Dr. Frank sought after. “I have always seen my practice as a boutique one,” says Dr. Frank. “As my brand has grown exponentially over 20 years, I feel it essential to merge the environment and aesthetic typical of the high-end hospitality industry—bringing the best of the healthcare and hospitality worlds to create a unique and first-of-its-kind aesthetic healthcare center.” 132 Perry St.
