2-0011.jpgSanderson first collaborated with Disney in 1928, the same year that Mickey Mouse first appeared in Steamboat Willie. In the 1930s, Sanderson was commissioned by the Walt Disney Company to produce a wallpaper collection featuring Mickey Mouse, closely followed by a range of accompanying fabrics.

5-0002.jpgThere’s no better way to celebrate a centennial than by making what is old new again, so Sanderson dove into their archive to rediscover a selection of classic fabrics and wallpapers. The results are prints featuring Disney’s Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Snow White beautifully recolored and authentically reproduced as both fabric and wallpaper. The classics are joined by new additions inspired by original animation stills, posters, brochures and character guidelines, leading to Disney’s Donald Duck, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Bambi joining the lineup.

7.jpgWe particularly love the three-meter panel featuring Peter Pan and friends on a gorgeous twilight background above the London skyline, as well as the charming toile-esque print of Bambi among the wildflowers. The launch includes 14 wallpapers and 12 fabrics incorporating a palette of 25 shades all curated to retain an archival look.
