With over two decades of design and hosting success on TV, Vern Yip has good reason to plow his energies into nurturing and growing his ubersuccessful home design brand. Working primarily from the comfort of his Atlanta home office, and bolstered by the love and inspiration of his family (including five adopted pups: Lars, Juno, Roo, Wallace and Oslo), Yip’s brand encompasses lines ranging from fresh fabrics and eye-catching wallcoverings to luxe towels and dramatic lighting. Constantly coming up with new collections and writing new books (his tomes have made him a NYT bestselling author) can be stressful, but Yip partially deflects by having his dogs by his side. Dogs are so beloved by Yip that they’ve even inspired portions of his product collections. So, when his canine assistants needed a well-deserved day of play, the perfect groom or a comfy, safe place to stay overnight, Yip turned to Atlanta’s renowned WAG-A-LOT and quickly became their No. 1 customer. In fact, his admiration for WAG-A-LOT led to a meeting with its innovative owner, Craig Koch, which eventually led to their marriage and two human kids Gavin and Vera. Naturally, Yip attributes much of his personal and professional success to the powerful love of man’s best friend.
