Design 9: Our Best Bathroom Winner

Candice Quinn, founder and principal designer at London Pierce Design, spruces up this spa-inspired primary bathroom in Cactus Corridor.

“I absolutely love the half-moon-shaped mirror!” the designer gushes. “I believe it perfectly captures the overall vibe of the bathroom.”

“For me, every room should tell a story,” Candice Quinn shares. “I love layering in texture and detailed design elements to create an inviting and intriguing atmosphere.” So when Agave Development, LLC reached out to the founder and principal designer at London Pierce Design to head the redesign for a Cactus Corridor spec home, it was the perfect fit.

“The bathroom layout presented a significant challenge. The original design was impractical, featuring a large tub and an awkward window in the corner,” the designer laments. “To improve flow and balance, I opened up the space, added a door leading to an outdoor retreat area and reconfigured the layout.”

The existing home featured Spanish architectural elements that Quinn decided to embrace, incorporating gentle curves and a neutral palette. “To set the right vibes, I used soft plaster on the walls and incorporated LED lighting throughout,” she notes. “The right lighting truly sets the mood.” The designer also incorporated luxe design elements like the sandblasted stone shower walls and a custom half-moon-shaped mirror.

“Renovations often come with unexpected surprises hidden in the walls, and we certainly faced some of those challenges,” Quinn says. “However, the overall design turned out beautifully.” We couldn’t agree more.

Quinn achieved a soothing spa atmosphere with chic neutrals, mood lighting and soft lines.
