When you ask about luxury stones in the New England area, the name Cumar comes up immediately. Celebrating its 30th year in business as the leading source and fabricator of the finest marble, granite, quartzite, and exotic stones in New England, Cumar's ability to adapt, innovate and grow has led to its ongoing success.
With one eye on the future, Carlotta Cubi, President of Cumar, is as busy as ever. As the preferred choice among designers, architects, developers, and discerning homeowners, Cumar has solidified itself as the ultimate brand of delivering an outstanding product for luxury stone in this market and beyond.

Carlotta is diligently working on refining and advancing the brand her father, Ivo Cubi, started. Creating an exceptional culture, business environment, and customer experience is evidenced by the second part of a major renovation to their Everett showroom (part one was completed in 2012) currently underway. Opening the interior space to construct a welcoming design-centric space will inspire clients and also educate them on the abundance of stones Cumar is passionate about, and how to use them in their designs. A new stone façade with textured dark granite features the new Cumar logo introduced earlier this year. "I want to give my employees the best place to work, stability for their families and support their careers and goals," states Carlotta. "In turn this provides our clients with ultimate service and success with their stone projects." The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of next year.

In addition to the growing business, Cumar is always looking into what is next for the stone industry, seeing exponential growth in recent years of natural stone in the US. No longer only adorning the most luxurious residence, it has become a standard in the high-end residential housing trends. In recent years, there has been an increase in demand for marbles specifically, which is exciting for Cumar because of their unique ability to source, fabricate and install marble like generations of Italians have done before them, and bringing that passion to the US market.

The evolution of Cumar over the past 30 years has been quite dynamic. The business has grown year over year as a response to ongoing high demand. Along the way, they have adapted, pivoted, and thrived, all as a result of striving to be the best and having clients and industry partners that saw the capabilities they bring to the table. Cumar is a brand that has been around for 30 years and will continue to succeed for many years to come.
