Dallas-based sales organization CODARUS launches an in-house collection inspired by three Texas cities.
Dunbar Road Design employed swaths of color throughout the cheerful unit at the storied Hall Arts Residences.
"The idea for the collection began gaining momentum last spring, around the time most of the U.S. shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic," shares CODARUS CEO Cody Ables. He spent that extra time at home fine-tuning ideas and working with partners to get the idea off the ground—the idea being to design collections that would complement the ones already represented by the company.
The Marfa Collection offers rich, warm tones.
CODARUS has represented home furnishings brands like Annie Selke, Azzurro Living and FlowDecor since 2005, with categories ranging from rugs to wall art. Sitting next to these lines will now be CODARUS Home, a line inspired by memories and modern design, rendered in exceptional materials and master craftsmanship. Think classic lines, cool palettes and clean living, with the initial launch consisting of three collections named after three Texas towns: the Angelo Collection, with its midcentury influences reinterpreted in warm French oak; the artfully cozy Marfa Collection; and the Corpus Collection, featuring timeless designs in beach white.
This sitting area is bathed in natural light to complement the cool lines.
"We partnered with Creative Director Brandon Kershner of Azzurro Living, one of our represented lines, to create and design the CODARUS Home collections," says Ables. "We started the design process with inspiration from furniture passed down from my family, and we updated it with a modern aesthetic."
Each collection offers a unique variety of seating.
And while he's been in the industry around half his life, Ables is enjoying the new skills he's picking up as he learns about the product design process. Shop the new collections this fall at the company's Dallas Design Center showroom. 1250 Slocum St., Ste. 210, Dallas, codarus.com
