Chad Dorsey’s new line of fireplaces is making a serious splash.
“At an early age, I loved the problem-solving of design, particularly how relationships between spaces interact,” muses designer and tastemaker Chad Dorsey. “This became part of my passion and love for creating spaces.” The Tennessee native currently works out of Dallas but boasts an office in L.A. and an exciting new collection with Ann Sacks in Denver. “I’m launching the third collection of STRIKE fireplaces in 2025 and recently designed a new fireplace line, STRIKE for ANN Sacks, with a showroom in Cherry Creek,” he says. The chic fireplaces—seven were unveiled in the launch (Big Sur, Calistoga, Laguna, Malibu, Ojai, Sea Ranch and Sausalito) and eight in the second (Plinth, Hinge, Bevel, Tread, Fitting, Sausalito 2.0, Sausalito 2.0 XL and Bush Hammer) and third collections—are available in a variety of luxury stone finishes and are custom-scaled to clients’ exact specifications. “These aren't slabs that are mitered together,” Dorsey emphasizes. “This is a piece truly carved by hand—it's something that can last hundreds of years, something to be passed down.
