César Giraldo unveils a futuristic new capsule collection in collaboration with Studio M Lighting, brightening interiors all over California.
“Lighting is undeniably one of the most crucial design elements,” stresses César Giraldo. “It should never be overlooked or underestimated.” Cue the interior designer’s newest capsule collection with Studio M Lighting, aptly entitled Gusto. The West Hollywood-based founder of César Giraldo Design was fascinated by both the power of light and the architecture of a recent residential project, specifically the “sleek, defined curved exterior and the clean lines, geometric shapes and free-flowing spaces that defined the interiors, softly splashed with light.” The project, entitled 1859, inspired the collection. “An illuminated environment brings people together in focus; a dimmed space welcomes the mind into poetic bliss, and between the two you find Gusto, bridging the transitions and creating an experience.” Expect artisanal handblown glass elements featuring cloudlike swirls, gradient grays and striking amber tones. The pieces appear to be floating in midair while providing plenty of ambient light—futuristic, modern designs. “I absolutely love every single piece in this collection,” Giraldo gushes. “From a design perspective, it is incredibly cohesive and a strong sense of gusto runs throughout the collection.” cesargiraldodesign.com; studiomlighting.com
