After 11 years of growing his business in Nashville, interior designer Brad Ramsey of Brad Ramsey Interiors (bradramseyinteriors.com) has found a passion for working with clients from the ground up–literally. “We prioritize projects that we get to be a part of from the architectural phase all the way through to furnishing and finishing a home,” he says. “Typically we are signed on for 18 to 24 months of attention to detail that goes hand in hand with the fun we have with our clients as we really get to know them and how they live.”

It’s that attention to detail that has allowed him to cultivate deep, lasting relationships with his clients. He credits a seemingly simple philosophy for his success: “Kindness, attention to detail, thoughtful designs and a passion for learning people so we are designing for them and not for us.”

Recently, he used that formula to help a client move from their large estate home to a smaller home designed on a property as a quad of four homes. “The client was also the developer of the project with the intention to sell the other three houses, so we were able to design their home and select the brick color and all of the exterior finishes to be reflective of what they wanted, and then the other three homes followed suit,” he says. “We spent a lot of time going through their antiques and an extensive collection of art to figure out what to keep, what to recover and what to purchase new to give the home a well-curated feeling that was fresh for the next season of life."
