Few luxury carmakers champion innovation quite like Bentley Motors. The past year has seen the British trailblazer unveil some of its most cutting-edge technology, including the new, fourth-generation Continental GT—the first Bentley car to be powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.
“Bentley is expected to unveil new hybrid and electric powertrains, aligning with its goal of achieving a fully electrified lineup by 2030,” says Greg Mabry, general manager at Bentley Atlanta. “These powertrains will offer impressive performance metrics while maintaining the brand’s commitment to luxury driving experiences. Enhanced aerodynamics and lightweight materials will also contribute to better performance and efficiency.”
Equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine and electric motor combining to produce 782 PS (771 horsepower) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, the new Continental GT can reach 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 208 mph. It’s also good for up to 50 miles of electric-only range, thanks to the 25.9 kWh battery mounted behind the rear axle. Available to order in coupe or soft-topped convertible forms now, with the first deliveries expected before the end of the year, the 2025 Bentley GT emphasizes the brand’s commitment to sustainability and advanced technology integration.
“The 2025 Bentley GT will incorporate state-of-the-art infotainment systems with improved connectivity features, such as over-the-air updates and enhanced AI capabilities for a more intuitive user experience,” Mabry adds. “Through these innovations and design advancements, Bentley sets a new standard for luxury vehicles in 2025.”
