Boston - Principal, Taniya Nayak Design
What first sparked your interest in design? I grew up in a family of artists and designers. My uncle is a sculpturist, and my father is an architect and has his fellowship with AIA. I feel as though I was born into it.
How would you describe your aesthetic? Clean, personal, modern but livable.
What is a design trend you are loving at the moment? Plants! I am so in love with the introduction of more greenery in spaces.
How do you weave your sense of style into everything you do? My personal sense of style is typically monochromatic, and I love a good accent piece (e.g., a chunky bracelet or large earrings). I also love texture. This is very apparent in my design aesthetic as well.
What is a timeless design moment that you think will never go out of style? Midcentury modern lighting fixtures.
What is your favorite color palette to use in projects currently? Mildly off-white with black accents.
