What first sparked your interest in interiors or design? I was traveling in Thailand and was mesmerized by the textures and colors of the silk. There it dawned on me that I could take something that has always been a passion and turn it into a career.

Who are some of your favorite ‘secret’ sources for projects? We love to discover new and upcoming artists and artisans. They typically are really excited to collaborate, offer a unique point of view, and clients always like a good story behind a piece.

What is your favorite color palette to use in projects currently? I personally gravitate toward jewel tones. There is a richness and warmth that really resonates, as well as being a classic palette that can span different styles from traditional to modern.

What is a design trend that you are so over? I’m completely over accent walls. Either commit to a bold color or wallpaper and go all in or don’t do it at all. While it can be a good tool for calling out a special area because it directs your eye there first, I prefer to take in the whole space and let your eye travel around the room as a whole.

How do you weave your sense of style into everything you do? Our design approach focuses on creating layers for added depth and interest, which really extends into how I approach many aspects of my life. Certainly fashion, and I would say cooking as well. It’s never just about one piece but more what you pair with it that adds interest.

What is a design trend you are loving at the moment? I love that people are really embracing bold color at the moment. It’s not for everyone, but I find the more that people see color being used in magazines and showrooms, their interest is piqued and their comfort level rises. I try to avoid trends as by the time it’s seen as a trend, I’m usually over it and on to the next thing, but the use of color in design is timeless.
