When his Seattle clients hired him to transform their brand-new four bedroom, three and a half bathroom Palm Springs Condo, Michael Ostrow (Co-Founder of Grace Home Furnishings) went to work on creating an eclectic, yet whimsical design plan. The theme Ostrow landed on -- bohemian modern -- was sparked by a gorgeous butterfly patterned wallpaper by Fliepaper. From there, the rest of home’s inspiration flowed.

Built with sleek finishes and clean white walls throughout, Ostrow incorporated a splash of bold colors, notably pink, as well as patterns to accent. The open living room showcases a funky flair with a vintage floral rug bolstered on the wall. Below this chic piece, Ostrow placed a custom upholstered ottoman in a neutral color to balance the texture of the rug and provide a comfortable seating area for the soon-to-be-parents. Curvy and non-traditional in its shape, the hot pink vintage swivel chair continues to deliver vibrance to the playful living room. Another standout choice? Framed vintage scarves are on display throughout the home adding a 60’s floral theme to the hallways.

The clients and Ostrow decided to design a personalized office for the wife. Surrounded in a funky Lee Jofa wallpaper, the room features a floating desk from Mr. Brown London and a vintage daybed underneath the glimmer of the Currey & Company chandelier. With small accents such as a ruffled mirror from Made Goods and a vintage pink planter, all the pieces work together to create an inviting place for her to work and hang out.

In the end, the clients were absolutely in love with their home, as was Ostrow. “To be able to play with the mod aspect of things...allows you more free will to blend things together,” he says. “It was fun!”
