How would you describe your aesthetic? Perfectly imperfect, curious, layered and a little tongue-in-cheek. I wouldn’t describe it as overly serious, but it’s anchored with some good classics and a bit of patina.
Antique or reproduction? Antique; one cannot re-create the timeworn patina, the story and the imperfections of a true original.
How do you weave your sense of style into everything you do? I find that I assemble an outfit the same way I would assemble a vignette or a room by mixing and layering colors, patterns and materials. I also love creating a table setting to fit my mood and the occasion, even if that occasion is a low-key Wednesday night dinner in the kitchen. For me, the joy is in the details.
What is a design trend you are loving at the moment? Granny chic! Who can resist a room enveloped in the same fabric everywhere?
What is a design trend that you are so over? Transitional. It’s like the boring person at the dinner party.
What is the best bang for the buck when it comes to making a big impact on a project? Wallpaper is extremely impactful. It can literally transform a space, hide flaws and add ‘implied’ architectural detail, texture, etc.
