A J.P. Kush & Associates project (jpkushandassociates.com), represented by The Brokery (thebrokery.com), Lomas Verdes Estates is the brainchild of developer Jason Kush. With homes priced from $1.7 million, sales begin fall 2020. Here, Kush gives us an inside look at what’s to come.
What inspired the construction of this exclusive new community? I am a third-generation developer and broker. My father started building homes in the valley 40 years ago. This site was perfect in terms of its location—close enough to everything North Scottsdale has to offer but outside the hustle and bustle, that way you can enjoy the beautiful Sonoran Desert and have some room to spread out.
What sets Lomas Verdes apart from other private communities in the area? Architecture! North Scottsdale is full of Spanish- and Tuscan-style homes. There is little contemporary architecture, and even a smaller amount that looks like it belongs in the desert. These homes were designed exclusively for this site by the brilliant minds at The Ranch Mine (theranchmine.com). They were designed to have a true indoor-outdoor lifestyle that brings so many of us to this part of Scottsdale.
Tell us about the customization of these homes. For interior design, we have partnered with Misty Cowan of Dwelling Design, and Hinkley’s Lighting and Central Arizona Supply for appliances and plumbing. Our clients work with an entire team to truly customize their new home the way they want it. We allow more upgrades and options than almost every other builder in town. Lomas Verdes will also offer many standard features that others do not include, like Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, large folding wall panels and the foundation for true home automation. These homes are also Energy Star-certified and adhere to the city of Scottsdale’s demanding Green Building Program designation.
